Chiropractic

Chiropractic is used to treat neuromusculoskeletal problems through gentle adjustment techniques. A chiropractic adjustment is a therapeutic treatment by a licensed chiropractor. Your chiropractor will use pressure to manipulate joints in your body to realign your spine and reduce pain and discomfort. Chiropractic adjustments complement traditional medical care you receive.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine and a component of traditional Chinese medicine in which thin needles are inserted into the body. The points treated help stimulate the central nervous system, which in turn releases chemicals into the body and stimulates the body's natural healing abilities.

Cupping

Cupping is a form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin with the application of cups. This will relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It may also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.

Reiki

Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It supports energetic and
emotional balance and physical well-being. The practitioner will gently place their hands
just above or lightly on different areas of your body to encourage relaxation and
energetic harmony.

Singing Bowl Body Work

Singing Bowl Body Work is a practice that uses the vibrations and sounds from bronze
singing bowls to promote relaxation, balance energy, and improve general wellbeing.
Bowls will be placed directly on the body and struck to create vibrations that gently
penetrate the tissues of the body to alleviate tension.

Sound Bath

A Sound Bath is a meditative practice in which various instruments are played to
promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve mental and emotional well-being. Sound
tools may include singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and seed sounds.

Tuning Fork Vibrational Acupressure

Turning Fork Acupressure is a non-invasive practice that uses gentle vibrations from
specifically calibrated tuning forks to stimulate acupressure points and energy
meridians. The practice promotes mental and emotional balance, healthy energy flow,
and deep relaxation.

Dr. Amy Mick has called the midwest her home her whole life. She has lived in Ohio, North Dakota, Minnesota, Missouri, Iowa and now Nebraska. Growing up in small towns, she played lots of sports and loved experiencing the outdoors. These experiences were what brought her to know chiropractic. During high school volleyball, she started to have difficulty breathing along with back pain. Thanks to her father’s example of seeing a chiropractor, the decision to get adjusted was an easy one. Her father’s chiropractor was able to give her instant relief!

This relief led to her considering a career in chiropractic. In no time, she started her chiropractic education at Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, IA.

Dr. Amy graduated with her Doctorate of Chiropractic in early 2017 and has been practicing full-time ever since in Omaha. She currently holds her certification in Webster Technique, acupuncture, and cupping and loves combining these modalities for patients!

Her desire and drive to focus on pregnancy, fertility, and infertility came from her own experiences. In 2019 she decided it was time to start a family but had two losses. Dr. Amy is compassionate and committed to helping those who have similar experiences with motherhood.

In her free time, Dr. Amy spends 3 to 4 days a week at the gym, continues to love the outdoors, and is involved in the community. She loves to work right alongside her patients to share in their struggles and triumphs.
